Registration for Religious Education will be after 8:00 & 10:00 am, 12:00,
4:00 & 6:00 pm Masses on July 27th & August 24th, 2008.
If you are preparing for a sacrament, please bring a baptismal certificate if we do not have it on file and bring payment for registration fees. They are:
$ 50.00 for one student
75.00 for two students
100.00 for three or more students
25.00 for sacrament preparation materials

Register during the months of July or August in the R.E. office. Deadline is August 24th.

ELEMENTARY (K-5) RELIGIOUS FORMATION GUIDELINES (2008-2009)

The Catechetical Program Of Holy Cross Community seeks to provide parents, youth, and children with the knowledge, experiences, and skills necessary to become faithful and fruitful disciples of Jesus. In keeping with their age, they will assume responsibilities as active members of the parish and be able to participate in the Catholic Church’s mission to proclaim, celebrate, and serve in the faith community.
Our goal is to assist parents in the role of developing the Catholic faith formation in their families by:
    * Providing resources and training to catechists for their own faith development and teaching methods. Certification is highly recommended.
   * Offering classes to parents while their children are in class. Teaching content is in relation to children’s classes. Only videos and texts approved by the U.S. Catholic Bishops are used.
   * Preparation for the sacraments of reconciliation and Eucharist is provided in addition to regular classes.

Note: Childcare is provided during all family events in Room Q in the Learning Center.
